3D Printing Can Heal Spinal Cord Injury

NanoEngineering professor, Shaochen Chen and his team of researchers have discovered a way to use 3D printing technology to create customized implants that can boost the power of cell-based therapies to repair injured spinal cords. Implants are designed as guides to keep new neural extensions aligned properly with the spinal cord. The study was published in Nature Medicine.
