Macrophage Nanosponges Could Effectively Treat and Manage Sepsis

Dr. Liangfang Zhang, a professor at the UC San Diego NanoEngineering Department, and his research team have developed macrophage nanosponges that can improve the treatment for sepsis. This new development has already positively impacted the survival rates in mice with sepsis. The team's findings were published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
