The Department of NanoEngineering would like to congratulate Professor Shaochen Chen for being awarded the Best Undergraduate Instructor in the Jacobs School of Engineering.  Dean Albert Pisano was on hand to personally present Dr. Chen with his award. 

Congratulations to Dr. Christopher M. Coaty (Electrochemical Materials Science Laboratory), who recently received his Ph.D in NanoEngineering. His defense on "Conversion Reaction Synthesis: A Versatile and Scalable Route to Nanoporous Transition Metals" was presented on September 10, 2019.

Congratulations to Dr. Caleb Christianson (Bioinspired Robotics and DesignLab), who recently received his Ph.D in NanoEngineering. His defense on "Actuation for Bioinspired, Soft, Swimming Robots" was presented on August 29, 2019. Dr.

Congratulations to Dr. Chen Zheng (Materials Virtual Lab), who recently received his Ph.D in NanoEngineering. His defense on "Machine Learning Big Materials Data" was presented on August 28, 2019. Dr. Zheng has been with the Department of NanoEngineering graduate program since Fall 2014.

Congratulations to Dr. Jiuyuan Nie (Advanced Inorganic and Energy Materials Lab), who recently received his Ph.D in Chemical Engineering. His defense on "Solid-State Activated Sintering of TiO2 and Electric Field Assisted Sintering of ZnO Based Materials" was presented on September 4, 2019.

Congratulations to Dr. Pritesh Parikh (Laboratory for Energy Storage and Conversion), who recently received his Ph.D in NanoEngineering. His defense on "Exploring Nanoscale Chemical Distributions for Energy Applications using Atom Probe Tomography" was presented on July 18, 2019.

Congratulations to Dr. Rajan Kumar (Neural Interaction Lab), who recently received his Ph.D in NanoEngineering.
